An adventure like no other. Lots of paddling, carrying a canoe with a partner, spending most of the day on lakes, and hiking in between. Camping under the stars, eating dinner by the campfire, and sharing close connection with good humans, great stories, and real vulnerability. Levelling up the way nature intended.
-
All in (including wilderness leaders and facilitators), there will be a maximum of 18 people on this adventure.

After applying, a member of the True Life Story team will reach out to you via email (make sure you check your inbox and spam folders). You’ll then book a call with a team member to chat about the expedition and confirm it’s a good fit. After this call, you’ll be sent an invitation to join, along with all the important information.
-
Early bird pricing for the expedition is $5,500 CAD, available until March 1, 2026. After March 1, 2026, the price increases to $7,000 CAD.
For both early bird and regular pricing, you’ll have the option to pay in full, or pay 50% upfront with the remaining 50% due April 1, 2026 (one month before the expedition).

You’ll need clothing and sleeping gear to keep you warm and dry. This is the West Coast — it can be lovely, and it can be fierce. We’ll send you a comprehensive list of required and recommended gear. Whatever you don’t have, we’ll help you procure.
-
While spring weather can be great, it’s called a rainforest for a reason. We’ll have rain gear and shelters and will do our best to stay warm and dry. That said, if winds exceed our safety margins for being out in canoes, the route has excellent access to a network of wilderness roads that allow us to reroute or make progress safely.
-
We’ll gather allergy and dietary information ahead of time and take care of all meal prep and cooking. Be prepared to be amazed by the culinary talents of your guides.
-
Submit your application and bring this up during your orientation call so one of our guides can properly assess your abilities before confirming your registration.
-
Yes. Once your registration is confirmed, you’ll need to read, understand, and sign the True Life Story waiver (a link will be sent via email). You’ll also complete a pre-trip questionnaire that includes emergency contact details, allergies, and any other relevant health information.
